Great game! My only objection is that if there was more fine tuned directional control of the ship (maybe being able to shoot at 45 degree angles?) the player would have more survivability and it might be more fun. Good stuff, love the gameplay and atmosphere!

Thank you for taking the time to play my game and leave a review, Im going to use this amongst other feedback to fine tune the game, difficulty being the most off-putting thing of the game I will adjust the difficulty curve (especially with the addition of 5 more levels). I also agree with the movement, Im going to make the cannon to get you off the ground more impactful, so the focus is on lining up the shot to take out foes, In future iterations I also intend to add more ships that will all have unique weights and cannons that will have different layouts such as a 45 degree angle as you have mentioned.  I hope the final official release of this title will be will be a amalgamation of all the feedback combined with the elements that make this game fun!

I really like it, even though I'm no good, in future development of this (if possible) I'd love to see a few more shanties, perhaps even some lore that you can unlock, and controller support so that when this gets on steam it can be played on a deck. Keep up the greak work Seb

I love that you were able to give it a go, the difficulty will be dramatically adjusted in the official title upon release. The initial Runes in the tutorial are a small clue at the story that is currently being finished with more creatures and bosses to fight before revealing the secretes of the story!
